TikTok is planning to partners with TalkShopLive to launch its live shopping feature on TikTok in the North America region. The TalkShopLive will allow content creators and brands to sell items through TikTok videos. Los Angeles based TalkShopLive platform takes a 10% commission from sellers for providing its services, and TikTok is likely to cover that cost for the initial phase of the project.
In 2021, TikTok and TalkShopLive joint venture raised $6 million in a seed extension round. The shopping feature will go live in the US very soon. TikTok didn’t respond on the specifics of the kind of partnerships the company is looking for to expand its live commerce offerings.
